Parenting a child with autism can feel overwhelming — especially when you’re unsure how to respond to challenging behaviors or how best to support your child’s growth. At Thrive Autism, we believe families are the most important part of a child’s success, which is why Parent & Caregiver Training is a core part of every ABA program we offer.

Through structured training and ongoing coaching, we give parents and caregivers the knowledge, strategies, and confidence they need to support their child at home, school, and in the community.

What Is Parent & Caregiver Training?

Parent/Caregiver Training is a hands-on education program led by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). It may be provided alongside your child’s ABA therapy or as a standalone service for families who want focused guidance.

During training, caregivers learn:

• The foundations of ABA and how it supports learning
• How to manage challenging behaviors at home and in public
• Ways to encourage communication and social skills in everyday routines
• Emotional coping strategies for both children and families
• How to practice consistency so skills carry over between therapy and home life

The goal is not only to keep treatment consistent but also to empower families with tools they can use long after sessions end.
